All the electrical components, motor, battery etc. Are brand new un-used and come with a full 1 year guarantee. Bike is ex-demo as new with 3 months guarantee. This Boardman MTX 8.6 has an aluminium 21 inch large frame & 700C wheels. Front suspension is Suntour NEX 63mm travel with pre-load adjustment and lock out. It has front and rear Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm brake rotors. Bike is complete with front and rear lights and mudguards. Being ex-demo the bike does have a very few small marks that are barely noticable and it is in genuinely excellent condition as you can see from the pictures. The front gear change mech has been removed together with the front triple chain ring and handlebar shifter. (These parts come with the bike so you can convert it back to standard if you want to move the motor to another bike). I have then fitted a Bafang BBS01B 250 Watt 36 volt electric mid drive motor together with a 36 volt 17 Amp hour 612 Watt hour Lithium battery with mains charger and 2 keys. The secondary drive gear of the motor has been greased with aircraft quality Mobil grease for quiet operation. Range is very good with this setup 50 miles plus on a full charge depending on terrain rider weight etc. A Bafang 860C colour controller display with 9 assistance settings and a thumb throttle are also fitted together with a rear gear sensor that momentarily cuts the motor during gear selection for smooth gear changes. The front chain ring is a 44 tooth giving a range of excellent gear ratios for both hill climbing and top speed. Rear derailleur is 9 speed Shimano Altus. Remember in a mid drive all the motor power goes through the chain and gears effectively giving your motor 9 gears! Free wateproof battery cover with this bike.
